<description>I just purchased a new Toshiba Satellite 18.4&quot; screen to travel with to work on my photos with Photoshop CS2. My old computer had Windows XP system and now I had Vista Windows with my new laptop.
I tried for 4 days reloading and deleteing and reloading Photoshop CS2 and going back and forth with Adobe&#039;s Support help which was actually NO help!!!
Then I found this webpage and did exactly what Ian did above and it worked!!!
The key is DO NOT register and REBOOT immediately after you downloaded all the updates.

Thanks Ian for SAVING ME from tons of aggrevation and frustration!!!
Good Luck all~

<description>My problem is not with the serial number since when i input the serial number it continues to install the program properly.

Funnily enough, after installation, when i enter into Image Ready, it works properly. When i enter in Photoshop cs2 it opens up the window, but as soon as i move the mouse key on the menu, the program get to Not Responding.

Has someone encountered this problem or knows what i can do to make Pscs2 work on my new laptop. My laptop came with windows vista home premium installed on it already.

Thanka

<description>I think what the Adobe guy was trying to explain to you...
ANd what can I say as an Adobe worker is that the CS2 is not supported on VISTA ..ergo..he can not help you!Cs 2 many times work on vista, sometimes with little issue..sometimes perfectly but this doesn&#039;t mean that is made for it! And actually for be precise also CS3 work on vista perfectly..but only CS4 is ASSURED to work with..and SUPPORTED on VISTA.

That&#039;s all...i can understand guy that many times is frustrating and that is not copmpletely true..but when a product is not supported you can make it run also on a commodore 64 ..but you have to find HOW not the company that have devoleped the product.....is the company policies!

As wrote on http://cps-internal.corp.adobe.com/cps/400/kb400742/attachments/ATTAdobe Products and Windows Vista.pd

Last things...i&#039;m very happy to know that you make it work.... ice walkaround :)

<description>I did not re-install, and did not change UAC setting so what i did is basicly just a first time installation with MYADMIN99 (A user with Vista Administrator privileges but still UAC setting is on. A definite must from security perspective.)

When problem appears, what i did was opening windows explorer and go to c:\Programs\Adobe and find photoshop.exe and right click. Then i have option to run as administrator.

Somehow when running photohop from VISTA start menu (i was logging as MYADMIN99) and open c:\Programs\Adobe --&gt; right clicked photoshop.exe --&gt; choose run as administrator.... is just different.

But the last one worked :-) no need to reinstall nor adjust UAC nor setting to run in Windows XP Mode.</description>
